ABOUT VENERGIA

Venergia Renewables S.A. was incorporated in October 2007 in Greece, by four entrepreneurs with  combined experience in the renewable energy sector, in the engineering and construction industry and in shipping and finance.

 

The business model of Venergia is the development, construction  and operation of renewable energy projects while the financial strength of the company derives from its main shareholder.

 

The company has thus far been able to identify a number of promising regions in Southeastern Europe with excellent potential for investment in renewable energy projects. These include: Wind Farms, Photovoltaic/Solar Parks and Biomass plants.

 

The financials of all these renewable energy areas are excellent as all projects have been developed professionally taking into account  a) the available resource, b) the infrastructure costs and c) the potential licensing and construction pitfalls.

 

The founders and shareholders of the company are:

 

  1. Sinobar Ltd  - an equity investment company 

 

  1. Mr. Marios-Errikos Tzavaras, a computer scientist, holds a Master’s degree from City Univeristy, London and a Bachelor’s degree from Queen Mary College of London University. Before founding Venergia he was the CEO of a computer software company with offices in Athens and San Francisco. He is currently the Managing Director of the company.

 

  1. Dr.  Ioannis Tzavaras, an electrical engineer, with a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree from Imperial College, London. Before founding Venergia he has held various engineering and managerial positions in the telecommunications sector and was the vice president of a large Greek renewable energy company. He currently holds the position of deputy Managing Director of the company.

 

  1. Mr. Nikolaos Kamoulakos, an electrical engineer,  holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Loughborough University. Before joining the company he held various managerial and engineering positions telecommunications company and was the technical manager of a large wind farm developer. He currently is the technical and development manager of the company.

 

Apart from the above executives, the company employs specialists in the sectors of wind measurements, energy analysis, project design, project management and financial engineering.

 

The company owns an internal measurements laboratory that conducts certified wind measurements accredited with the EN ISO/IEC 17025 (IEC61400-12-1) certificate.
